    Merry Christmas from the Schmoyer’s
    2007

Dear Friends & Family,
Greetings from the cold, snowy winter of Minnesota! I pray that this letter finds you all happy and healthy for the holiday season! David and I wanted to send out our first Christmas letter updating everyone on our lives so here goes:
The year of 2007 has brought many firsts for David and me. For the first time in our marriage we packed up all our belongings and moved across the country from hot, humid Texas to the arctic temperatures of Minnesota. We settled into an apartment in Plymouth, Minnesota (near the twin cities) early in January in hopes to find a house in the coming months. David spent countless hours on the internet researching our different housing options and I sat by just waiting and watching. And sure enough the Lord blessed us with another first in our lives, buying our first house! When we were not even looking for it, God put the perfect house in our pathway and we quickly moved from apartment living into our very own home in an adorable neighborhood in Albertville, Minnesota. We quickly got to work painting and decorating in anticipation of the birth of our first child, wanting to have everything just right. And after nine long months of pregnancy God gave us the best first of all, our first baby, Noah Scott Schmoyer was born June 26, 2007. He was 8lbs 12oz and 21½in long, now 5 months old he is healthy and growing too fast for his proud Mama and Papa. Shortly after Noah was born we had too many firsts to list, but some of highlights are his first time meeting: 2 sets of grandparents, 2 great grandparents, 4 uncles, 5 aunts, 2 cousins, 1 great aunt, 2 first cousins once removed, and last but not least his Mom’s college roommate and BFF, Lyndsay Spink.
Early in 2007 we also settled down in our first church home, Northwest Bible Church, where David’s brother Dan and his wife Maggie attend. This church is the perfect fit for our family not only because of the strong Biblical teaching, but the congregation is filled with young married couples, eight of which were pregnant the same time we were. Now, six out of the eight babies have been born and it looks like Noah will have plenty of friends in nursery. We also hosted our first Thanksgiving…meaning I had to cook my first Thanksgiving meal. We were so excited that David’s entire family could come out for the event and after several calls back and forth with my Mom my first 23lb turkey turned out alright and all 15 guests were served. Soon we will be heading out on our first vacation with baby Noah also his first road-trip! We are praying for a “Silent Night” as we drive all the way to Texas to celebrate Jesus’ birthday with my family. This will be Noah’s first Christmas and his first time to Texas. We could not be more excited to show him off to more friends and family. This pretty much wraps up our FIRSTS for the year of 2007 and so I will end this first Christmas letter from the Schmoyer’s, we pray all of you are doing well, until next year…

Much love from Adrienne, David, Noah, Grizzly & Timber
