Pumpkins and Munchkins!

Exciting, My Life, Updates No Comments »

Here are some adorable photos from the last month or so…we have been busy as always and fall in Minnesota is definitely here. Noah is learning so much these days, it really is amazing how much he understands and communicates now. He does the baby sign language for please, thank you, help, more, and all done. It is so cute, and when he gets really frustrated with something he will do please, then help, then thank you in rapid succession over and over until David or I come to the rescue. Some of the picure highlights include: Us at an apple orchard that had a small pumpkin patch a few weeks ago with Dan, Maggie, Ruby & Ti…those pics are especially cute. There are also some from when I had a bunch of my church friends over with their kiddos to make orange ti-dye shirts with jackolantern faces on them. We had quite a few munchkins dressed up as pumpkins that day! Also, I must explain the picture of Noah sitting on the floor with Nilla wafers all around him…that was my day to sleep in and apparently David was working on school in the office, Noah had been quiet for a while and so David went to check on him and found the pantry door open the nilla wafers missing and Noah sitting in a pile of them on the floor. So funny! Noah was really proud of himself and his accomplishment that day…who knows how many he ate! As for the rest they are just random, enjoy!

Much love,
Adrienne, David, and nOah

What a Month…

Well it’s been a pretty busy month, although when all is said and done the good out weighs the bad. :-) The bad included a car accident Adrienne Noah and I were in [all safe], hail the size of golf balls putting dents all in our house [twice!], a hail damaged car [our good car of course], and a broken transmission from a bad mechanic [of which we will have to eat the cost of fixing]. So needless to say I’ll will be doing a lot of business with my insurance companies in the upcoming weeks! On the up side though, I’m writing this blog with a sun burn, which although physically painful feels good emotionally because it means summer is here! Adrienne and I both got sun burnt yesterday while doing a 20 mile run in preparation for grandmas marathon quickly approaching. Also this month Adrienne brother Dan Thompson got married! That was so much fun, Adrienne and I went to Texas for a short while with Noah for the grand event and grand it was! Not a single corner was cut over the course of the 3 day extravaganza! :-) Food, parties and marriage! I had better go because out church youth group is having bible study on our deck now and pretty soon we are all headed to the park for games….ahhh summer, it’s finally light outside past 4pm! Well I won’t bore you any longer, but I hope all is well with everyone and from everyone here in Minnesota have a happy summer beginning!

Playing Darts…Funny?!?!?

After receiving mass amounts of emails from my readers I’ve finally decided to post new pictures and a video of Noah. :-) This video was the beginning of March I wanna say, maybe the end of February but as you can hear he’s got a fat guy laugh to match his size! $10 Bucks says you can’t watch this video without smiling ear to ear. :-) My internet was down for a while but due to multiple phone calls and a new internet box we are up and running. Enjoy the pictures and I’ll be taking more and more as we Minnesotans can start migrating out of the house into the spring weather!

Well it’s been about a month since I last uploaded any new pictures or blogged so you should expect tons of pictures! Well…. unfortunately I haven’t been taking very many so the few recient pictures I took you can look at through the link below. I did add a bunch of picture my dad took from when I was kid, do they look like Noah? There are some pretty funny ones though. Since a lot has been going on this month I’ll just list out the old and the new.

THE OLD:
1. Noah got his first tooth [aka toofer] mid month and is working on his second one. Lots of Tylenol for the little guy. I’ll try to get a picture of it soon.

2. Noah can stand up if you hold his hands. And when he does you can see like 20 fat rolls in his stiff little legs :-)

3. He started eating veggies, so far Peas, Squash, Carrots, sweet potatoes. I have pictures of his first food trial but he didn’t even make a face, he just ate it. Not picky that’s for sure. We also bought him a high chair which makes it much much easier!

4. Snow, snow, snow, it’s come and goes and comes back again. Yesterday was especially cold, the “feels like” temperature was -44F at one point. Ouch.

5. I switched my job hours so now I’m working three 12 hour shifts a week which is nice because I have a lot more time at home.

6. I also completed the referrals I needed to get the Xbox 360 Elite and Ipod Itouch, but instead I took the cash option and bought a weight set and saved the rest! Free money [$830] is always good. You might remember my post a few months ago about this. Thanks to all that helped! If you are interested in getting free cash or a free Iphone you can sign up through my brother by clicking here

THE NEW:
1. Adrienne and I are going out of town with Dan and Maggie to Duluth, MN. I’ll be taking lots of pictures then so keep posted for those but basically it will be several days of skiing, snow shoe walking, Imax movies, massages, and sleeping in!

2. My parents and Grace and Mark are coming out to watch Noah, Ruby, Titus, and the doggies. They will be here surrounding our trip too so that should be fun.

3. Adrienne and I are attempting to work out more consistently, keep looking at upcoming pictures to tell if that works out for us or not. :-)

So why are so many sites trying to make it seem like they are “giving away free” Xbox 360’s or Itouch, Ipods or Iphones? Well they aren’t just giving them away, but it’s not always a scam either. Basically you have to have 9 friends, family or anyone else sign up for a free trial of a product online. They are hoping that if you sign up for it you will keep it going forever and they will have you as a costumer. So basically if you are will to write in your calendar and remember to cancel your subscription to something in a few weeks its truly is free. If you want to try blockbuster movies or Netflix or something you have to pay like $5 for the month to try it but if you were going to rent a movie anyway it might by worth it. Once you have signed up for a trial of any of the stuff they offer, which is sometimes useful stuff anyway, you get a link to your account. That’s the link you refer your 9 people to click on in order to receive your free xbox 360 or other gift.

So am I for this or against? Well, considering I’m usually the type of person that hates getting forwards emailed to me and deletes every spam mail I get with vengeance I want to say no, but since I know so 3 friends and my brother that have done this process hassle free, and since I have a baby now and an xbox will never be in the budget I say yes, it’s worth the 10 minutes it takes. Will you get tons of phones calls and spam emails and end up having to do much more then they say in the end? No, and I speak from personal experience. Are all the sites that offer this kind of thing worth it? NO, most make you buy things and go from page to page filling out stuff with your email address and phone number and it’s really annoying and deceitful. Which is why I don’t recommend all the sites out there, but know personally about the one listed below. You will only give your personal information to the product you sign up for, like stamps.com or something, who by the way will give you $5 in free stamps and it’s free to try. Is it worth it to you? I don’t know, do you know 9-10 people that would want an xbox 360, Itouch, cash, or would be nice enough to sign up for something and cancel it an a few weeks? If so here’s how you start.

HOW IT WORKS
It’s pretty easy to do. It probably takes about 10 minutes to setup. Click on the link below, register, pick an account type (referral is the easiest) and complete just 1 offer.

Step 1: [links removed because I have all my referrals!]

Step 2: Sign up and choose an account type (Referral is the easiest)

Step 3: Complete just 1 offer and refer up to 10 people to do the same.

Step 4: Receive your Xbox 360 Elite for FREE!

Winter is coming…

Noah Hat

Well winter is getting closer! We dressed Noah up in some winter clothes tonight because it’s 45 degrees out. Now remember it was 85 degrees two days ago so the actual temperature is somewhere in between that most of the time. The reason we were out was because our neighborhood started this “gobblin” thing where if someone rings your doorbell and leaves candy in a bucket on your doorstep you have to do the same to two other houses within 24 hrs. Kinda like a ding and ditch game. We got one yesterday so Adrienne, Noah and I got to go and ding and ditch tonight. :-) Haven’t done that in a while. Anyway, life is good, not much going on, it’s Marks birthday so Happy Birthday to him! Hope all is well.

Noah

Well Josh and Sara Davis, Adrienne’s sister and husband are up visiting from Texas and thus far it’s been a blast. Noah is a champ and pretty much lets us do whatever we want without time restraints, he eats and sleeps followed by some fussiness around 8:30pm for about an hour or so. In addition he’s slept through the night the past 3 out of 4 nights, which is nice. The hot wings we had on night 4 might have had something to do with him not sleeping a lot that night, either way we can’t complain. Tomorrow is Zoo day which will be Noah’s first debut to the zoo. Other firsts for him this week included to Best Buy, Cabalas, Dairy Queen, The beach (man made of course), and Wild Wings. I’ve had a few days off with him and it’s so much fun to play with little Noah and hold him, until he cries, then Adrienne gets to work her Mommy magic and get him quiet. The dogs are still adjusting well, and life is still going as usual. I won’t say much more because I’ve had some website construction that’s taken up most of my web time tonight so I’ll keep this update short. I also put some more pictures I took on the Noah tab; Sara Davis said Cathy (grandma) wanted me to update the pictures more :-) Enjoy!

Some More pictures placed on the Noah tab.

Facebook

Well yesterday was little Noah’s one month birthday so we had a big bug theme party and invited lots of his friends over and we went crazy all night! ……ok we’ll that’s all a lie, except for the part of his one month birthday and the fact that we (meaning Adrienne) were up a lot in the night taking care of the little guy. I probably shouldn’t write this but it’s late and I’m exhausted from work so I’m delusional enough to just come out and say it. The little guy cries at night because he works on massive cartoon sounding man size toots you can hear blast through the night air! I’m pretty sure he gets that problem from Adrienne :-) JK, I have no idea where he gets it but since I’m writing this blog I’m gonna say it’s Adrienne. :-)

Anyway, the reason this blog is called facebook is cuz I just recently joined facebook and have been finding all kinds of people from the past and saying hi. If you don’t know what facebook is it’s basically a site where you can search for friends and show pictures, life updates, chat and join groups with similar interests. I don’t really know what the point of re-connecting with people I will most likely never see again or be involved with, but its fun to check up and see what everyone has done with their life. Married, babies, college… makes my life seem more normal :-) I’ve even found a friend I meet one time at a camp over 14 years ago. Talk about the past, surprisingly enough she remembered me, which helped me look less like a stalker. :-) Well I’m at work now and this is night 4 of 8 in a row because I picked up extra days to have off when Adrienne’s sister Sara and Josh come out to visit. I really miss Noah though when I’m at work this much, and tomorrow I won’t see him at all because I will get home at 8am and will be sleeping until I have to get up and drive right back to work at 2:30pm for another 12 hour shift. Boo Hiss. Oh well, hopefully Noah won’t remember that his Dad left him so long as a child. Adrienne does a good job taking care of him and the dogs, one of which (Timber) has decided that she won’t poop outside anymore. She has great control of herself because no matter how long we keep her outside the minute she gets back in she finds one of two places she picked and leaves her duty. That being said anyone who wants to buy a little dog for 1$ is welcome to her :-) JK, although it is frustrating since she was completely potty trained before the baby was born. Any ideas anyone to get her back to going outside? Ok well this has been a super long blog and I’m sure the spelling off and the English is horrid, sorry Sara Davis, but you got the gist of what’s going on at the Noah Schmoyer house so for now I’ll leave you with a quote from the book Eragon that’s seems to apply perfectly to the ER, “You can’t argue with all the fools in the world”.
