Half Marathon
Exciting, Updates April 21st, 2008This past Saturday David and I ran in our first official race…we have been training now for 3 months or so to run in Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth at the end of June and part of that training was to run in a half marathon first. We ran the Earth Day Half Marathon in St. Cloud, MN with a couple of his friends from work. We finished the 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 17 minutes without having to walk at all!
That was my main goal, to not walk and to run it all. Our time is not good, but its not bad either. We maintained a 10 & a half minute mile. We were very excited to have accomplished this goal, but I must admit that it does make me slightly terrified to run a full marathon. I cannot imagine that finish line being the half way mark!! We are continuing to follow our training schedule and hopefully we will be able to complete that goal as well. There are some pictures of the race and also some from Noah’s first official baseball game. We got some free tickets to the Twins game yesterday so we took him to that…the pictures are adorable of him in his little Twins outfit. Also we had a cook out on the first official NICE day in Minnesota for like 5 months…(I told David if it snows one more time here I am putting our house on the market!) And no, Noah wasn’t really eating corn on the cob. That’s all for now, hope all is well with everyone!

Congratulations! We are so proud of you! You both look great, and not even tired. Noah is sure a photogenic little guy. I get nothing done when there’s new stuff up to look at! Love you–

We like him, he liked the baseball game but only because there were a bunch of people to flirt with and get attention from.
See you guys soon!
