As requested Maggie you can now look at all my pictures starting in December to present on the photo page. Nothing new going on here, weathers getting nicer and Adrienne’s getting……well lets just be honest her belly is huge right now :-) June 19th is approaching quickly! We only have 2 more baby classes to go to on Wednesday nights and then we are ready (in theory) to have a baby :-) This is a picture of his first bed, and one of a multitude of stuffed animals friends he can choose from. Click on the picture to see the rest of the babies room.

Painting the House

Exciting, Updates No Comments »

Well Adrienne and I finished painting 3 of the bedrooms and 2 of the bathrooms thus far but it feels like we should have the whole house painted by now with the amount of time it takes. Oh well it’s still easier now without furniture in the rooms then it will be later. There are the before and after pictures posted under pictures. The babies’ room is of course the cutest! :-) And a special thanks to Cathy Thompson for making the bassinet cover! It looks brand new and matches the room!

Family Visit

My Life, Updates 2 Comments »

Well I guess I don’t blog as much as everyone else does but we have just been pretty busy. This week Mom, Dad, Grace and Mark all came out to visit and stay a little bit with all of us. It’s been a lot of fun so far. We went to Alexandria and went boating and ate dinner at Tim and Dana’s on Saturday, then Sunday and Monday we spend at our house in Albertville hanging out at the park, the outlets, and the house playing games. Adrienne is such a good little house wife and has been making good food and taking care of all of us. I say that because she deserves extra credit for her work considering she is super pregnant at this point and her feet are painful just to look at they are so swollen! So I know she is uncomfortable, but it’s worth it (for me at least:-)) because we are going to have a cute little baby boy soon and then we’ll get to dress him up in all the clothes we have ready for him. :-) I have pictures from the whole visit and will post them in a few days. Hope all is well with everyone!

Nurses Strike!

My Life, Updates 1 Comment »

Well I’m sure none of you know, or probably really care to know but for the last few months the Minnesota nurses association union has been fighting trying to keep our benefits like health care the same, as well as keeping our pay the same. Well things were not looking good and there was a lot of talk of a strike June 1st which would be no good for me with the house payments and being on the low end of finances right now. However, today the nurses reached an agreement with the hospital administration to keep our benefits the same: $15 per office visit and $250 total deductible, instead of raising our deductible over $4,000. They also managed to get us a 4% raise each year for the next 3 years! It’s only about a dollar more an hour but hey that’s better than it going down! Well I know none of you cared but just thought I’d let you know because it’s a huge weight off my shoulders not going on strike and keeping our health benefits! Especially with a baby on the way. Thank God.

The [never ending] Move…

My Life 3 Comments »

Well we love our house so far and everything had been great living there! I’m not going to lie I’ve very tired now because all Adrienne and I have been doing since the 24th is painting, organizing, moving our stuff, hanging blinds, shopping and pretty much just trying to make the house look like a home. It’s hard work to be a home owner, but fun :-) It was really encouraging that Saturday a guy from church said we could use his truck and trailer to move our things so it only took one trip to get all our big stuff to the house, now it’s just the little annoying trips left, mostly of things we don’t’ really want anyway but have to because we own them :-) While moving into our house Saturday it seemed like the whole neighborhood was having a party, everyone was really friendly and sitting out on their porches and playing baseball with kids in the yard…it was refreshing to see since a lot of neighborhoods you never even talk to your neighbor, although it is spring so maybe more people are just out and about now. Either way about 10 neighbors came over while we were moving in and offered to help us if we needed, introduced themselves to us and welcomed us. I kid you not there are about 3 younger moms on our street alone very pregnant, and during the day the whole neighborhood is like mom and stroller central! If we weren’t going to have a baby soon we would be living in the wrong area. The doggies have loved our new house too, there is no fenced in yard, but there is a Bark Park that we let them off their leashes and they go crazy. It’s the neighborhood Bark Park and very close to our house so we won’t need to fence for a little while. It’s kind of nice though because we just sit down on the bench and the dogs walk themselves for 20 minutes. :-) Well I won’t bore you to long but basically we are exhausted but happy with finally moving our stuff for the last time. I’ve been taking before and after pictures to prove our hard work so keep looking I’ll post the pictures soon. Take care
