Hello there, well I don’t feel 24 years old yet but its always been more
a date on paper than feeling i guess. It would have been cool to have
bought my first house when I was 23 years old, although I guess
depending on who you ask that could be a good thing or a bad thing.
Adrienne will be a co-home owner at 23 years old though! That’s pretty
cool.
Yup, we are both excited about everything going on in our lives,
although
I feel like for the past 6 years my life I has been preparing for the
next big move as far as locations and jobs so to have some stability
will be nice…..scratch that…..necessary. No more moves for a while!
We both feel blessed and know God has been taking care of things we
haven’t even asked him to, so far about 8-10 major problems/concerns
have come up with the house and baby and thus far God has allowed every
single issue to work out exactly how we wanted or needed it to.
Everything form health care, loans, housing, locations, job, baby, you
name it God has cleared the way without us even knowing it. It’s almost
to point where when problems comes up with the loan or our money I don’t
even worry about it because of God’s awesome track record through all
this. Its pretty eye opening because I know God has always done his job
in making good of His promises, and yet so many of his blessing in every
day life I attributed to luck, a pat on our own back, or I don’t even
notice because He prevents problems or fixes them without my knowledge.
Other times I’m so focused on the negative that I don’t even see the
blessings.
Reminds me of Israel forgetting God and getting stressed out time and
time again despite His promise to them and perfect tract record. I just
wish I would learn once and for all to go with Gods plans and then get
nice and relaxed for the ride rather than get drained trying to force
things to go the way I want. Hopefully this time in our lives will
serve as a reminder of how peaceful it is when God is in charge, even
during quite possibly the busiest time in our lives. I’m aware the flip
side of this coin includes God allowing issues and trials to strengthen
and stretch us, and I know those issues and trials will come
eventually, but for right now we are grateful to be enjoying Gods list
of blessings. Well that’s the sermon for the day
Probably more than
what you asked for but it’s slow at work so I thought I would email
back. If nothing else when you hear about other problems in our life
down the road you can help remind us of Gods perfect tract record!
Thanks again for the birthday present, and hope all is well.
David
